Putting oil into the blades of the shredder will also help you have a smooth shredding activity. Just make sure that you use the right lubricant for your shredding machine. Do this at least once a week so that it is not going to be too messy. Be careful in putting lubricant to your machine and avoid spilling so that you will not have an extra task.

The lubricant shall be directly applied into the shredder. Kindly check the operating manual of your machine where you will apply the manual because shredders have different way of applying oil. Some machines will require you to apply the oil directly to the blades or the teeth of the shredder. Make sure self-oiling system, so; you only have to activate the oiling function. If you have this type of machine, you will need to replace the bottle of lubricant. You will know if the bottle of lubricant needs replacement when the empty lubricant indicator lights.

We cannot really avoid spilling oil or lubricants. Therefore, it is very important that you clean immediately the lubricant spill through using used clean paper, towel, or any clean cloth so that you will not have a messy shredding activity.
