Could your bedroom use space to sit down? Many bedrooms have the essentials, a bed, dresser and possibly an armoire and a pair of nightstands. While this will take care of the jobs that need to be done in this space, there are often things you just wish you had to complete the room. One of those things is an extra place to sit.
While sitting on the bed is comfortable enough, if you are trying on shoes or changing a part of your outfit you may not want to have to balance on an overstuffed pillow-top mattress. The easiest answer is to get a chair and put it in the bedroom, but this is often not the best option to choose. While a chair will do the job, why wouldn't you choose a solution that can do more for you? This is when bed benches can come to the rescue.

Not only will you once again be creating a great space for someone to sit down to remove their shoes or sort out their clothes for the day, but the storage area can also be a place where they can go to find any of the extra linens they may need. The important thing to remember is that those linens need to be washed from time to time, even if you don't have a lot of guests, because they can get musty from sitting in the chests all year long.
